We have written a whole new blog post on Fluid Engine tutorial & updates. The second way to add moving text to Squarespace is by using the Animated Block Text and Logos feature. These will be the first few you’re likely to start using when it comes to starting the design process.Ī little update on content blocks and how these work now in 2022! Squarespace 7.1 have now updated their editor, which is called Fluid Engine, and although most content blocks have been retained, there are significant editing differences. The 4 main and basic building blocks are the Text, Spacer, Button and Image blocks. ![]() sqs-block-marquee as it’s the most specific class for the block without using a block ID. The amount and type of content may affect how a block can be resized. Click and drag from block borders and corners to resize any block. Blocks can't overlap other blocks, and the spacing between blocks is fixed. So then I have to target the block itself instead of the section, within the section ID I use the selector. Click and drag to move blocks alongside other blocks in grids of up to 12 columns. When you scroll over the map, it will automatically start zooming in or out. The only issue I face then is the actual width of the block isn’t wide enough for when I open it up on a bigger desktop. Squarespace has quite recently released their new version 7.1, but version 7.0 is still going strong for those who used it to launch their websites. If your business has a physical location, the Squarespace map block is a great way to display a Google Map on your website. Other than using them the right way, there is nothing else you need to know! The content blocks designed by Squarespace already consist of the essential coding required to build your site.
